Silver Star Mountain via Grouse Vista explains the direct out-and-back and the separate Tarbell Trail connection. As checked October 12, 2026, Washington DNR lists the Tarbell Trail from Grouse Vista Trailhead to the Sturgeon Rock Trail intersection as closed. Do not use that segment to complete a loop. Confirm the direct route, road access, and posted restrictions before traveling.
